Become a positive light in a negative world

I have lived with confidence issues for a majority my life, an issue that I am slowly overcoming. There is no quick fix for becoming confident in your abilities and who you are as an individual. It takes time so don’t worry.

It all starts with having a Positive Mental Attitude or ‘PMA’. Positivity is key.

Here are my 5 tips:

  1.  Think Positive

Thinking Positive is probably the most important of the habits you can achieve, because you know that everything starts in the mind. Thoughts turn into feelings, which then turn into actions. If you tell yourself you can’t do something, you will ultimately find failure. This is known as the ‘self fulfilling prophecy’. If you tell yourself you can do it, you have increased your chances of accomplishing that goal.

  1. Surround yourself with Positive People

Stay away from negative and cynical people. Surround yourself with positivity, and you will be more positive! This is a simple and crucial habit in reaching a positive lifestyle. Surround yourself with people who will encourage you to thrive rather than rob you of your energy and your drive.

  1. Be Grateful for what you have in in your life

Americans have a day for this but I can’t see why you can not remind yourself of what you are blessed with all year around. Take some time everyday to be thankful for everything that you have in your life right now. In a world full of negativity, we have grown accustomed to focusing on what we don’t have or things we didn’t accomplish. Everyone has something they are thankful for, you just have to acknowledge them. Doing this will help you maintain a positive attitude in your life.

  1. Positive quotes

I have numerous quotes from inspirational and influential people around my room. A reminder never to give up on my dreams and to embrace my power as a woman.

  1. Most importantly LOVE YOURSELF

Be yourself. Love yourself completely and accept everything that you are. You are beautiful. Believe it, and most importantly, remind yourself often.

YOU ARE MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU THINK.
